ICOM IC-A25 NE VFR NAV + COM Handheld Radio

The 2.3-inch screen has high contrast and guarantees good readability even in direct sunlight. The selected frequency is displayed in large characters and can be easily read by a quick glance at the display. The night mode also enables easy reading in low light. Frequently used functions are dedicated to the keypad for quick access to the desired function. The large flat keyboard provides smooth and fast functional handling.

6 watts RF output power
For better communication range, the output power has been increased to about 6W typical (PEP) / 1.8W typical (carrier) compared to IC-A24E (5W PEP / 1.5W carrier).

Shortcut Function
IC-A25 NE stores the 10 recently used channels. You can easily access channels by using the directional keys, channel knob or keypad. This is suitable for switching between multiple channels, such as NAV (NE version) and COM channels. In addition, you can freely edit (replace, delete, rearrange) the stored channels.

Intelligent battery with detailed battery status
The included 2350 mAh BP-288 intelligent battery provides up to 10.5 hours * operating time. Battery health status can be checked on the battery status screen in the menu. It is very useful for optimal charging and battery health. * Tx: Rx (Max sound): standby = 5: 5: 90. (Bluetooth® OFF, GPS ON)

Built-in Bluetooth® for hands-free function
A third-party Bluetooth® wireless headset provides a convenient hands-free function. By using the optional Bluetooth® headset Icom VS-3, the "Side tone" function can also be used.

VOR navigation functions 

• CDI (Course Deviation Indicator) is detailed as a real VOR instrument, and shows deviations from your course.
• NOTE (Omni Bearing Selector) allows you to change course from the original route.
• The TO-FROM indicator shows the position relationship between your aircraft and the course chosen by OBS.
• With the ABSS (Automatic Bearing Set System) function you can set the current course as a new course in just two simple steps.

Nearby station search function (for IC-A25NE)
The search function helps you reach nearby ground stations. The function searches for nearby stations using the station's memories which have GPS location information. In order to use the search function for nearby stations, the position and frequency of the ground stations must be programmed.

Built-in GPS receiver with simplified "Waypoint NAV" (for IC-A25NE)
The simplified "Waypoint NAV" guides you to a destination using current GPS position information (including GLONASS and SBAS). "Waypoint NAV" has two functions: "Direct-To NAV" and "Flight Plan NAV". Up to 10 routes and 300 waypoints can be memorized in IC-A25NE.

Flight routes with Android ™ / iOS ™ App
Using the RS-AERO1A (Android) or RS-AERO1I (iOS) apps, you can do flight routes on an Android / iOS device and import the route to the IC-A25NE via Bluetooth®. The following four functions are available: Create a route, set “Direct-To NAV”, view route information or view waypoint information. * Additional certification may be required for some countries.
